Electronic solutions for quieter and more energy-efficient appliances driven by intuitive sensor-based operation
We live in a connected world where state-of-the art home appliances are online, efficient and make the consumers chores as easy as never before. Individual devices are connected to each other and with their integrated sensors they can make intelligent decisions. And of course, they need to be quieter and less power hungry than ever before to save money and CO2.
Infineon’s components and system solutions will bring this intelligence to your smart and connected home appliances to sense, control and securely connect them. Achieve the highest efficiency levels and smallest form factors and significantly improve your appliances' carbon footprint based on the smartest power designs. By choosing Infineon components, you can easily set your designs apart from the competition. We offer a comprehensive portfolio that makes it easy for you to meet all consumer needs.
Our CIPOS™ family of IPMs is the optimal solution for highly integrated compressor drives whilst discrete solutions with our Discrete IGBTs and EiceDRIVER gate driver ICs are the best choice, whenever the layout flexibility and thermal performance optimization are the major factors. They can all be combined with iMOTION™ products for dedicated motor control. For the auxiliary power supply, the CoolSET™ rounds up our power portfolio by offering increased robustness and performance. Infineon´s PSoC® microcontrollers for system control and touch sensing enable you to easily design attractive user interfaces. In combination with our XENSIV™ sensors your appliances becomes smarter and adding our AIROC™ Wi-Fi & Combos products and the OPTIGA TRUST M will securely connect your appliance to the internet.

CIPOS™ Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) are highly integrated, compact power modules designed to drive motors in home appliancesThey are divided into the compact, standard, and performance families: CIPOS™ Nano, CIPOS ™ Micro, CIPOS™ Tiny, CIPOS ™ Mini, and CIPOS™ Maxi, with different semiconductors in different packages and different voltage and current classes. These energy-efficient intelligent power modules integrate the latest power semiconductor and IC technology.
CoolSET™ AC-DC integrated power stages with quasi-resonant switching scheme offer increased robustness and excellent performance. Infineon's latest generation of fixed frequency CoolSET™ offers higher efficiency and lower switching frequency at medium and light loads, enabled by an integrated frequency step-down.
Infineon combines the industry-leading performance of the TRENCHSTOP™ family with the innovative Reverse Conducting (RC) IGBT technology to create a new generation of best-in-class devices. With a monolithically integrated diode, the RC IGBTs are perfectly suited for soft switching application such as inverterized microwave ovens, and for high-frequency PFC topologies. The 600V RC-D2 is a perfect match for low-power consumer drives application.
PSoC® 6 microcontrollers (MCUs) bridge the gap between expensive, power-hungry application processors and low-power microcontrollers. The ultra-low-power PSoC® 6 MCU features an Arm® Cortex® M4 for high-performance AI/ML tasks, TFT LCD driver, voice recognition and motor control, and an Arm® Cortex® M0+ for low power tasks such as system control and BLE. With its built-in security, your IoT system is protected.
PSoC® 4 microcontrollers have tackled some of the complex portions of embedded system design making it easier for you to get your product to market. Functions such as analog sensor integration, capacitive touch, and wireless connectivity have been integrated and optimized to make the PSoC 4 the perfect product to build up the user interface in a smooth way.
Our AIROC™ Wi-Fi & Combos integrate IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN and Bluetooth in a single-chip solution to enable small-form-factor IoT designs. Combo solutions are available for both 1x1 SISO with up to 433 Mbps PHY data rates and 2x2 MIMO with up to 867 Mbps PHY data rates. These solutions can be coupled with external MCUs from popular vendors or Linux on applications processors to implement a complete Wi-Fi + Bluetooth system.
Predictive maintenance enables a data-driven approach to predict and prevent device failures based on pattern recognition and intelligent software models. To collect the necessary data, and enable monitoring of the condition of devices in a building, smart XENSIV™ sensors help to record the most crucial parameters of a device’s status.
Responding to a growing focus on embedded systems amongst attackers, Infineon offers OPTIGA™ Trust hardware security solutions based on a high-end security controller optimized for connected devices. It provides extremely flexible, high-performance, secured access to any major cloud provider.
Gate driver IC solutions reduce design complexity, development time, bill of materials (BOM), and board space while improving reliability over discretely-implemented gate-drive solutions. Every switch needs a driver and the right driver can make all the difference. Infineon offers hundreds of EiceDRIVER™ gate driver ICs in a variety of configurations, voltage classes, isolation levels, protection features, and package options. EiceDRIVER™ gate driver ICs are complementary to Infineon IGBT discretes and modules, silicon (CoolMOS™, OptiMOS™ and StrongIRFET™) and silicon carbide MOSFETs (CoolSiC™), gallium nitride HEMTs (CoolGaN™), or as part of integrated power modules (CIPOS™ IPM and iMOTION™ smart IPM).
