Infineon Austria: Alina Absmaier is the new Head of Production

Villach, August 12, 2024 - Infineon's innovation factory in Villach has had a new Head of Production since August 1, 2024. Alina Absmeier, who holds a doctorate in chemistry, has many years of experience and expertise in the semiconductor industry.

The 45-year-old is taking over the management of production from Bernd Steiner, who will be moving into self-employment from September after 26 years at Infineon, including eight years as Head of Production. Alina Absmeier previously managed one of the largest teams in Infineon production in Villach for six years.

Alina Absmeier has been working at Infineon since 2007. She came to Infineon in Villach after completing her doctorate in technical chemistry at the Vienna University of Technology. After holding positions in process technology and quality management, she became module manager of one of the largest teams in the innovation factory in 2018. As production manager, she is now responsible for the entire high-volume production of "energy-saving chips", which are used worldwide in trains, cars, data centers, LED lighting, medical devices and also in solar and wind energy systems.
