CYUSBS236
CYUSBS236 USB-Serial (Dual Channel) Development Kit
The USB-Serial Bridge Controller series is the latest addition to Infineon's family of Full-Speed USB Controllers. The CY7C65215 controller is the first in the industry to offer dual configurable serial channels for UART/I2C/SPI interfaces, with industry’s lowest power consumption in stand-by mode (5 uA).
The CY7C65215 controller integrates the industry-leading CapSense™ capacitive-touch sensing technology (for touch sensitive key switches) and Battery Charging Detection logic compliant to USB-IF Battery Charging specification ver. 1.2 (to detect the source of power on the USB port). The controller features up to 19 pins for GPIO and is available in 32-pin QFN package. The controller is USB-IF certified with TID# 40860041.
The USB-Serial Bridge Controller series is ideal for applications such as portable medical devices (like blood-glucose meters), point-of-sales terminals, Serial Cables (including USB-to-UART and RS232 cables) and many other applications requiring USB connectivity.

The software for the CYUSBS236 DVK is available in two formats:
- CYUSBS236 USB-Serial (Dual Channel) DVK SETUP only - this is an executable file that contains Software drivers, Design documents for DVK (Schematics, Gerbers, and BOM), Configuration Utility, DVK User Guide, DVK Quick Start Guide, terminal application Tera Term and Application examples. User should have .NET framework installed on the PC to execute the Configuration Utility.
- CYUSBS236 USB-Serial (Dual Channel) DVK ISO - this is an ISO file format (CD/DVD image) containing the required files (including pre-requisites) to run the DVK and related software. Contents of this file can be extracted using utilities like WINRAR or ISO extractors. The image contains Software drivers, Design documents for DVK (Schematics, Gerbers, and BOM), Configuration Utility, DVK User Guide, DVK Quick Start Guide, terminal application Tera Term, Application examples, and .NET framework files.
