Identify the reference design which closely resembles your end-product, select CCGx part and USB Billboard (if needed)

Download the schematic & board layout files for the selected reference design from Intel’s IBL website (Thunderbolt developer account is required to access the collateral)
Contact local sales to get the Thunderbolt device configuration utility which can configure vendor- and design-specific parameters (VID, PID, Power profiles, etc) in the CCG5 firmware. This tool will generate CCG5 BIN & HEX file
Program CCG5 and USB Billboard controller (if needed) using Miniprog3 over SWD lines during design development cycle and 3rd party programming house before PC assembly during mass production
Get your end-product Thunderbolt3 device certified
