Personnel developments at Infineon: Awa Garlinska takes over as Head of Sales

Ms. Awa Garlinska (41) has now taken over responsibility of the Sales Department at Infineon Technologies AG. After successfully completing her studies in computer science at the Technical University in Wroclaw (Breslau, Poland), she began her professional career in 1984 in systems development at Siemens. In 1991, Awa Garlinska assumed responsibility for a variety of tasks at Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme AG and the Siemens Information and Communication Products Department. During this time, she also completed additional training in Business and Change Management in the USA. Before moving to Infineon, Awa Garlinska headed the Market Development and Operations Department at Siemens Information and Communication Products Group. Up to now, Peter Bauer had been in charge of Sales at Infineon. However, since April 1999, Mr. Bauer has been a member of the Executive Board and Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing at Infineon Technologies and will now be able to devote his full attention to these tasks.
