Aileen's Story
At the forefront of technology innovation
As Director Unit Process Development, Aileen leads, manages, and develops a team of solution providers for semiconductor packaging in Malacca, Malaysia. She believes in the power of persistence. Since joining Infineon as a wirebond specialist in 2011, she has grown as a communicator, coach, developer, and expert in her line of business.

I lead a pool of unit process experts for package assembly development that support new products. I manage their competency and career development. Part of my job is to also define business process models and systems to help the organization develop products faster and more efficiently. Sometimes, I engage with customers, answering technical questions on new projects directly.
Getting the chance to mold individuals, helping them to grow and realize their full potential, and being part of a team that builds products that make life better.
The most challenging thing ‒ but also the most rewarding ‒ is keeping customers satisfied. And by “customers”, I meant both my internal customers and Infineon’s.
My team. The individuals that are with me now, who continue to come up with creative solutions. I am also proud of the engineers who were part of my team ‒ those who have moved on to other fields or moved up to lead their own teams. I’m proud of what they have become.
I really enjoy working with my team and seeing how our common achievements drive the continuous technical and personal development of each team member.
Florian's Story
Hybridization of around 1.75 million cars worldwide
Florian started out as an intern with Infineon Regensburg in 2011, also writing his final thesis there. Since 2018, he has been Senior Manager Unit Process Engineering. He leads and manages a team of process engineers in a challenging serial production line with a combination of empathy and structured thinking. He is especially motivated to have an opportunity to contribute to more sustainable forms of mobility.

Lead and manage a team of unit process engineers covering all types of automotive high-power molded modules in Regensburg backend production.
As Senior Manager, I am responsible for a team of process engineers. Our daily focus is on manufacturing high-power modules for electromobility, thus actively contributing to efforts aimed at making life greener. One result of my work, for example, is the combination of high-performance molding module 1 with module 2, which enables electromobility.
I am part of the unit process engineering team at the Regensburg backend production line. This team has achieved an important milestone in contributing to the hybridization of around 1.75 million cars worldwide – and this journey continues. I was also part of the talent management program (CLIMB) at Regensburg. In addition, I am qualified as a “Thinking Six Sigma + Lean Green Belt Trainer” and achieved the problem solving accreditation of “Black Belt Thinking Six Sigma + Lean”.
To find the correct work/life balance, especially as I am currently studying part-time.
The book “Managing, Performing, Living” by Fredmund Malik. One statement from the book that inspires me is that we think great leaders are universal geniuses who are a mixture of ancient generals, Nobel laureates and TV show masters. Instead Malik explains that they are normal people who achieve outstanding things through the way they act.
To lead and work with a wonderful team of experienced engineers – that is what enlightens me every day.
Katrin's Story
Transforming from engineer to manager
Katrin joined Infineon as part of the trainee program in 2014, going on to work as a staff engineer for the epitaxy SiC process. Since 2020, she acts as Manager for the Unit Process Engineering CVD in Villach, responsible primarily for developing an environment where the engineers in her team can focus on interesting technical topics, thus enabling the entire team to contribute to the success story of Infineon.

Taking a look at my own career at Infineon, the company really supports employee development – this is outstanding. I personally took the opportunity to switch from the technical ladder to the management ladder. Especially in Villach where we have development and production on one site, there are so many options to grow.
Clearly to work with and develop the people in my team, but also to develop the best solution for technical topics together with my team and the other stakeholders. In other words: to create.
The transformation from being an engineer to becoming a manager. Focusing on strategic and organizational topics, but with the necessary technical background to do so. Also my job is heavily influenced by the production environment; this requires a high degree of creativity, flexibility, and team work. Sometimes a factory incident eats into your schedule for that working day and you end up managing an upcoming challenge.
Working with smart people in diverse teams is something that inspires me. It is always surprising to see how a team develops incredibly smart ideas, even for problems where it was not clear at the outset whether there even was a solution.
My job is indispensable. I work in the chip card testing team to deliver on the zero-defect promise we make to our customers. As a Process Engineer, I focus on efficiency and accuracy to maintain the quality of our production.
Harry's Story
Delivering on our zero-defect mindset
Harry joined Infineon Wuxi, China, as an assistant engineer in 2019. He was promoted to the position of Senior Engineer Test Process Engineering in 2022. Rigorous and responsible by nature, he has a keen eye for detail – applying every detection method possible in the quest to deliver zero defects to Infineon customers.

My daily work entails guaranteeing the quality of chip card products with the potential to make this world safer and more convenient. I focus on the visual inspection, automatic optical inspection, and electrical testing of chip card products.
We aim for customer satisfaction. We provide the products and services offered by the Security Packaging Center, including chip card modules for memories and controller ICs, modules for security ICs, customer-specific package solutions and contract assembly.
I built up the tool plan matrix system for the chip card testing process to prevent manual error. This project also resulted in automatic maintenance software, capable of doing the work of four engineers. This project won the internal company Golden ‘Spot Award’ in Jan. 2022.
Sometimes we face tough problems which are beyond my capabilities, and even those of Infineon. But we can refer to the third party to solve them together.
An international teamwork platform connects people all over the world. I am really lucky to know many great friends and colleagues from different countries. A systematic training plan builds talent in the engineering team. I learned many useful skills that can solve not only engineering problems, but also life problems. The personal development policy helped me to continue my studies at one of the world’s top 50 universities. I enrolled at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University after just two years of working with Infineon. I am really grateful to have such a people-centered working environment.

Marianna started her Infineon journey in 2011 at Warstein, Germany, as Materials Engineer. Since March 2022, she has been with Infineon Cegléd, Hungary, as Head of Engineering. There she is responsible for planning and execution of engineering activities and projects to meet the company’s goals. Her love of technology and innovation helps her map business needs to technical solutions. Always striving for the best possible outcomes, her passion for challenging herself is a source of inspiration.
