Human Resources (HR) acts as strategic partner to the business and drives Infineon's organizational growth. We put a strong focus on people engagement – because it’s people that create value, and it is engagement that drives people. That’s why people are the focus of our actions: Through targeted upskilling and leadership development, we foster our employees' engagement, drive talent acquisition and retention, and successfully implement organizational development and transformation projects.

To ensure we are the driving force of the business, we are constantly evolving as a function ourselves. Our own transformation is essential not only to support the business, but also to manage and drive growth in dynamic times by providing value-adding delivery excellence. Digitalization is a constant companion and accelerator in this process. By integrating digital solutions and sustainable processes, we put customer focus first and drive digitalization forward.

The biggest advantages of working at Infineon are the global collaboration opportunities and the sense of ownership over your work. Infineon is headquartered in Germany. I think that working with colleagues from countries such as Germany, Singapore, Portugal, and Malaysia, and encountering different work styles and ways of thinking have a great impact on my personal growth.

Another advantage I want to highlight is the ability to work with ownership even as a junior. Although I have only been working as a recruiter for less than a year, I am fully responsible for production recruitment and for participating in various projects such as recruitment strategy and branding activities. I think it is a great advantage that new employees can work with a sense of ownership without limiting their work scope to their career, and work for a company that expects personal growth through this sense of ownership.

I am responsible for recruiting production workers, process engineers, quality engineers, etc. – most of whom work in Cheonan. I handle the entire process from the start of recruitment to their employment, which includes reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, communicating with candidates, and overseeing the entire process. In addition to traditional hiring, I am also responsible for recruitment branding using social media to secure future talent pools.

My biggest interest lately has been talent branding. Through branding activities across channels such as social media and job fairs, I promote Infineon to potential candidates and aim to expand our talent pool. With an expanded pipeline, we can strategically hire bright talents who can contribute to making life easier, safer, and greener with Infineon.

The talent acquisition landscape is continually evolving, and it’s not just about filling positions. It’s essential to find new and innovative ways to not just attract but also to retain top talents. Also, I need to build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues. I need to be creative yet strategic, warm and lively yet fair. I like this contradictory aspect – my work is never boring. Additionally, I believe that we carry responsibility for the vital role we play in shaping the company's culture – by bringing in talented individuals who align with Infineon's values and goals. It makes me very proud and I do love my job.

In today's competitive job market, attracting bright talent is becoming challenging. So, my focus area is to differentiate Infineon from competitors in Korea and appeal to the best candidates in a creative and effective way.

My team definitely inspires me most. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such an amazing team. My colleagues' passion, dedication, and expertise inspire me to be my best self, every day. And their collaborative spirit and ability to work seamlessly together never ceases to amaze me. Being part of such a talented and supportive team encourages me to strive for excellence and push myself beyond my limits. I truly believe that working alongside this incredible team has made me a better person and a better professional.
