MagSense Inductive-Sensing Coil Breakout Board
The CY8CKIT-148-COIL Inductive-Sensing Coil Breakout board is designed as an easy-to-use reference design platform. The Inductive Sensing Coil Breakout board is purpose-built to be compatible with the CY8CKIT-148 PSoC™ 4700S Inductive Sensing Evaluation Kit, where MagSense Inductive Sensing with various coils can be evaluated.
The Inductive Sensing Coil Breakout board features 16 total inductive sensing coils which demonstrate different performance characteristics. The kit supports the following sensor features:
- Proximity and touch detection using a single sensor
- Rotation angle detection with a rotary encoder
- Linear position encoding with two 100x8 linear encoder coils
- Horizontal gesture detection with a six-segment sensor array
This kit also includes three metal targets which may be broken away from the kit board and used with any of the sensors on the kit. A fourth metal target is included which works with the rotary encoder sensor.
