Kit demoboard for cordless power tools
This design kit for cordless power tools is using the DirectFET™ ME/MF and firmware developed using the XMC1300 family.

- ME/MF layouts for MCAN DirectFET™, two MOSFETs in parallel at each leg of the inverter
- Standard power board connector to plug in the XMCTM1300
- 20.0 V nominal input voltage
- 6.0 V to 40.0 V input voltage range
- 50.0 A peak and 35 ARMS phase current for continuous operation
- 200.0 A peak current for 100.0 ms
- Latched shut down overcurrent protection through one shunt amplifier
- Over-temperature protection with programmable threshold level
- 5.0 V and 12.0 V on board power supplies for microcontroller and gate drivers respectively
- External power supply options formicrocontroller and power MOSFETs gate drivers
- Die temperaturemeasurement through openings on bottomside of the PCB
- Block commutation modulation method with three hall sensors or back EMF
- Scalar BLDC motor speed control with three hall sensors for speed monitoring based on the BLDC_SCALAR_HALL_XMC13 with improved features for the specific application in cordless power tools
- Configurable modulation schemes (high-side modulation with or without synchronous rectification) for efficiency improvement evaluation
- Flexible user configuration capabilities bymeans of DAVE™ (Version 4)
- Hall pattern learning by detecting the hall and phase excitation patterns during start-up

- Serial interface via USB connection for monitoring of motor variables and parameters using Infineon µCProbe
