Universal discrete Power Semiconductor 600 V - 1200 V in TO-247 3-/4-pin evaluation platform
The Universal evaluation platform including EiceDRIVER™ gate driver IC was developed to show the driving options of the Discrete Power Semiconductors in TO247 3-pin and 4-pin. To show these options, the design was split into this motherboard and currently, two drive cards. The modular approach was chosen to allow the platform to be expanded with new drive cards in the future. The first drive card (REF-1EDC20I12MHDPV2 (coming soon)) contains the EiceDRIVER™ 1EDC Compact 1EDC20I12MH with an integrated active Miller clamp preventing parasitic turn-on. The second drive card (REF-1EDC60H12AHDPV2 (coming soon)) includes the EiceDRIVER™ 1EDC Compact 1EDC60H12AH allowing a bipolar supply, where VCC2 is +15 V and GND2 is negative. The motherboard was designed for a maximum voltage of 800 V and a maximum pulsed current of 130 A.

Recommended board combination
The REF-SIC-D2PAK-BP can be easily connected to the EVAL_PS_DP_MAIN platform. It is the CoolSiC™ MOSFET 1200 V evaluation platform that contains the EiceDRIVER™ 1EDC Compact 1EDC20I12MH with an integrated active Miller clamp preventing parasitic turn-on. The second drive card includes the EiceDRIVER™ 1EDC Compact 1EDC60H12AH allowing a bipolar supply, where VCC2 is +15 V and GND2 is negative.
The EVAL-1ED020I12F2-DB daughter board is a pick and plug evaluation platform with second revision in a high-side / low-side configuration with two gate driver ICs (1ED020I12-F2). This platform is developed to show the optimal driving of the CoolSiC™ MOSFETs or other power switches like IGBT and MOSFET in TO247 3-pin or 4-pin package.
This Reference Board is the first drive card of the universal evaluation platform and it contains the EiceDRIVER™ 1EDC Compact 1EDC20I12MH with an integrated active Miller clamp preventing parasitic turn-on.
This Reference Board is the second drive card of the universal evaluation platform and it includes the EiceDRIVER™ 1EDC Compact 1EDC60H12AH allowing a bipolar supply, where VCC2 is +15 V and GND2 is negative.
