100 W USB-C dual-port charger reference design with single stage PFC
The reference design REF_100W_2C_SSFB_PAG1 was developed for USB-PD multiport charger application with a wide input range and output voltage from 3.3 V to 21 V. Each USB-C port output power is 100 W capability, while the two USB-C ports’ total output power is 100 W and can share dynamically based on the connected devices.
EZ-PD™ PAG1 offers a single-stage PFC + fixed frequency controller with synchronous rectification for BOM saving. The solution has a power factor > 0.95 for high/low lines.
The board has a dimension of 60 mm x 60 mm x 28 mm and a power density of 16.25 W/in³. The board fulfills the efficiency requirement from DOE Level VI.
