Reference board ILD8150 80V high-side buck LED driver IC with hybrid dimming
This reference design board features ILD8150E, a 80V LED driver IC with an innovative hybrid dimming method. The LED driver IC provides a high safety voltage margin, especially for applications operating close to safety extra low voltage (SELV) limits. Several performance and protection features provide the right fit for professional LED lighting.
The reference design of ILD8150E comes with hysteretic current control, which is extremely fast and always stable without the need for any loop compensation.Additionally it provides flexibility to be used up to 1A with a short duty cycle. In range of 12.5 to 100 percent ILD8150E operates in analog dimming mode, in 0.5 to 12.5 percent in hybrid mode with fixed output frequency. Hybrid mode dimming helps to minimize LED color shift and audible noise. ILD8150E provides high accuracy over all conditions, as well as AC 100 or 120Hz input flicker rejection in the whole dimming range.
