50 W power transmitter with proprietary protocol
The REF_WLC_TX50W_N1 MP A2 power transmitter solution board delivers up to 50 W output using Infineon proprietary protocol and is also compatible with charging Qi 1.3.2 basic power profile (BPP) and extended power profile (EPP) receivers. This reference board operates in multiple modes by varying voltage, frequency and duty to regulate the output. Direct USB-PD/PPS-based control offers a single-stage topology with better efficiency in higher power charging mode. With fixed 20 V DC supply input, the control based on frequency and duty ensures meeting regulation and transient requirements of receiver output which is also 20 V, 2.5 A (50 W). The integrated gate drivers in WLC1150 combined with external OptiMOS™ power devices offer an efficient system that meets EMC requirements. The WLC1150 controller supports on-chip identification, which can be externally augmented with OPTIGA™ trust charge to support Qi authentication. The board supports firmware upgrades using USB-C or I2C interface along with the included dongle and the wireless charging configuration graphical user interface (GUI). There are additional options provided for firmware updates using serial wire debug (SWD) while using the ModusToolbox™ and programmer.
