Below section shows steps on how to design USB-C Thunderbolt Device or Dock using Infineon USB-C controllers
Identify the reference design which closely resembles your end-product, select CCGx part and USB Billboard (if needed)

Step 1
Download the Firmware for your CCGX Device and USB Billboard controller/Dock Management Controller from the above table.
Step 2
Download the schematic & board layout files for the selected reference design from Intel’s IBL website (Thunderbolt developer account is required to access the collateral)
Step 3
Contact local sales to get the Thunderbolt device configuration utility which can configure vendor- and design-specific parameters (VID, PID, Power profiles, etc) in the CCG5 firmware. This tool will generate CCG5 BIN & HEX file
Step 4
USB Billboard controller/Dock Management Controller firmware is part of the ZIP-File you downloaded in STEP 1.
Step 5
Program CCG5 and USB Billboard controller/Dock Management Controller (if needed) using Miniprog3 over SWD lines during design development cycle and 3rd party programming house before PC assembly during mass production.
Step 6
Get your end-product Thunderbolt device certified.
