The MOTIX™ MCU (SoC) portfolio contains of different product families with different features e.g. core, power stage (relay driver, 2-phase-, 3-phase bridge driver) or communication layer (PWM, LIN, CAN-FD).
The MOTIXTM 32-bit motor control SoC solutions based on Arm® Cortex®-M integrate on single die the 32-bit microcontroller, the non-volatile flash memory, the analog and mixed signal peripherals, the communication interfaces along with the driving stages needed for either relay, half-bridge or full-bridge DC and BLDC motor applications.

Our products integrate data processing, actuation and sensing. Infineon offers different packages: a leadless 7x7mm 48-pin VQFN package, a leaded 48-pin TQFP package or a leaded 64-pin LQFP package and enables PCB space saving. The different families allow driving of relays and MOSFETs at VBatt ≥ 6 V without external components, providing a very cost effective solution on a system level.
- Enabling high levels of system reliability:
Extensive diagnostics and protections are embedded within the system-on-chip, more than a discrete approach can offer. In addition, both the MOTIX™ 32-bit motor control SoC and the external MOSFETs can be protected.ISO 26262-compliant variants for safety-relevant applications are available.

MOTIX™ 32-bit motor control SoC solutions are specifically designed to enable mechatronic motor control solutions for a wide range of motor control applications in which a small package form factor and a minimum number of external components are essential.
- Automotive body applications include window lift, sunroof and wiper.
A reference design for window lift using an H-bridge driver with integrated Arm® Cortex®-M0 is available.
- Automotive powertrain and thermal management applications includes water, oil and fuel pumps, cooling fan and HVAC fans
Reference designs for a 100W auxiliary water pump, a 150W coolant pump and an engine and an engine cooling fan using a 3-phase BLDC driver IC with integrated Arm Cortex M3 are available including detailed documentation, layout files and measurement reports.

MOTIX™ Software and Tools
- MOTIX™ Motor Control Library for BLDC motor control allows users to easily optimize parameters and carry out configurations. Through automated testing and test coverage reporting, production ready quality is ensured. Furthermore, due to modularized MOTIX™ Low-level Driver software architecture and platform approach, software solutions are scalable.
- Low-level drivers provide users with a file pair (c./.h file) per module to allow the initialization and configuration of the module during runtime via the provided APIs. The Low-level Driver is offered as demo code. Customers can also get access to additional documentation and test reports.
- Configuration tools provide graphical user interfaces to define and generate register settings for the evaluation and configuration of MOTIX™ products. For example, the MOTIX™ Solution Designer allows users to analyze, debug and tune your motor control application based on Infineon’s MOTIX™ Motor Control Library.
- Simulation & modeling tools allow for efficient prototyping of design and calculation of right values and parameters.

The MOTIX™ TLE984x family is mainly addressing body and comfort solutions such as sunroof and window lift. Our platform solution for size- and weight-optimized relay-based motor control solutions offers scalability in terms of flash memory size and MCU system clock frequency with pin-compatible devices.
For single-phase applications like engine cooling fan, HVAC blower or auxiliary water pumps, dedicated variants within the MOTIX™ TLE985x (with NN-Halfbaridge) can be used to achieve a cost-efficient solution and saving PCB space due to the high integration.
Infineon´s cost efficient H-Bridge Driver IC with Integrated MOTIX™ Arm® Cortex® M0 is optimized for automotive applications like sunroof, window lift, power lift gates and pumps. It enables optimization of the system concerning EME (electro-magnetic emissions, slow slew rates) as well as power dissipation (short dead times) simultaneously through adaptive MOSFET driver.
MOTIXTM MCU offers TLE986x and TLE988x product families either with LIN or CAN-FD communication interface for DC-motor control applications such as Pumps & fans, Wiper, Seat adjustment.
The MOTIX™ TLE987x and TLE989x families address BLDC applications such as engine cooling fan, HVAC blower or auxiliary pumps (e.g. oil, water and fuel pump). Besides the automotive target applications also power tools, drones and other industrial BLDC applications.
