インフィニオンのソリッド ステート リレー製品には、HEXFET® パワーMOSFET および IGBT 出力フォトリレー、さらには独自のソリッド ステート リレーを設計できる柔軟性を提供するフォトアイソレーターおよびソリッド ステート アイソレーターがあります。最新のiSSI製品ファミリーでは、過電流保護、加熱保護、ミラークランプのオプションをご利用いただけます。
ソリッドステートリレー (SSR) は、入出力間を完全にガルバニック絶縁したオン/オフ操作用のリモート制御スイッチです。出力に電源は必要ありません。ソリッドステートリレーを使用することで、回路のロジック部分と大電力信号の間をガルバニック絶縁し、低電力 (マイクロプロセッサーなど)で大電力信号 (AC負荷やDC負荷のスイッチングなど) の制御が可能になります。 この絶縁により、ユーザは感電から保護され、電子機器 (マイクロプロセッサーなど) は高電圧スパイクによる損傷から保護されます。

BTS711L1 & BTS5210G in Auto-heating system, error reports
QUESTION: A prototype using the (BTS711L1 & BTS5210G) components was built, but in tests, BTS711L1 gives error reports. The current was 100mA. The BTS5210G was also used in the same application. This did not give any error feedback.
APPLICATION: Auto-heating system, Voltage- 24V, Current consumption per relay is 50mA. There are different channels, in some channels 2 relays used, some use 5 relays, etc.
After activation of the relay, the status output is checked. Some components immediately become LOW and the others will be LOW after a few minutes.
The 100-unit relay does not give an error signal. (No BTS5210G signal in the same circuit).
ANSWER: This means some relays (up to 5) are switched in parallel by one channel of the PROFET™s.
Refer to the "Over temperature of both channels" in truth table of the data sheet.
In the case of high signal at the inputs Inx and error message i.e., status pins STx go low and the outputs are going low. With the above, it could be diagnosed as an over temperature shut down.

What are the benefits of Gate Drive Control ICs?
The HVIC gate drive solution typically cuts down on component counts and PCB size by 50 percent compared to discrete solutions. These devices offer an improved immunity to voltage spikes and contribute to lower switching losses for the IGBTs and FETs. Fast switching times, under-voltage lockout protection, included deadtime are other advantages of these drivers.
Gate drive design compatibility of 600V and 1200V ICs reduces strongly the design time as the same basic circuit design and layout are re-used by just substituting the equivalent ICs.
