Melaka, Malaysia – July 5, 2022 – Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. officially opened the Infineon Tower today, adding 14,100 square meter of floor space within an 11-storey building. The Infineon Tower signifies the parallel growth in value-added services alongside the main manufacturing operations over the years. This includes Global IT Services, HR Shared Services Asia, Global Finance Services and Regional Procurement Shared Service Centre, as well as R&D Centre.

The Infineon Tower’s opening ceremony was officiated by Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Utama Haji Sulaiman bin Md Ali, Chief Minister of Melaka. Also present to grace the ceremony were guests of honour Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Abdul Rauf bin Yusof, Senior State Exco for Investment, Industrial & Entrepreneur Development; Mr George Lee, Senior Vice President and Backend Board Member, Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific; senior officials of government agencies as well as members from Infineon’s senior management team.

Infineon employees are already enjoying the refreshing ambience of the new cafeteria at the tower where they can relax and refuel, and enjoy beverages such as cold brew on tap, frothy cappuccinos whipped up by trained baristas at the coffee bar. Pantry area at every office floor comes furnished with cushy chairs, comfy sofa and soft lighting to allow employees to take relaxing breaks or have short discussions. As an inclusive company, Infineon Melaka has also added safe and private mother’s rooms for working mothers returning from their maternity leaves.
