The Easy family is the best choice for customers who are looking for a flexible and scalable power module solution. With the extension of the Easy 3B package, we now offer the broadest base-plate-less package portfolio with 12mm height. The flexible pin grid system is a perfect fit for customizing layout and pinout. The packages are without a base plate. The Easy 3B package extends the DCB surface area (DCB, direct copper bonding, is a substrate in the power module) of the current package by a factor of two while maintaining the same height. This is the ideal package for extending your current inverter design to achieve higher power with only few mechanical modifications. At the same time, this new package has “inherited” many of the advantages such as flexible pinout, which is very important for customizing. It is already set for high-volume production.
Infineon offers a wide range of CoolSiC MOSFET automotive power modules for hybrid and electric vehicles applications: traction inverter (to convert the DC from the high voltage battery to AC for the electric motors), on-board battery charger, auxiliary inverters, HV/LV DC-DC converter and specific Fuel-Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) applications such as the fuel cell air compressor and DC-DC boost converter.
Easy power modules are your best choice for reliable and flexible power module solutions. The Easy family with its EasyPIM™, EasyPACK™ and EasyDUAL™ configurations covers the full power range from 6 A up to 200 A at 600 V / 650 V / 1200 V in PIM or Six-Pack configurations. For applications where a 3-level topology is of interest, Easy offers also a full portfolio of 3-level configurations up to 400 A in a single module. The automotive Easy 1B and Easy 2B modules provide an automotive-qualified platform for flexible topologies for applications with a power range of up to 10 kW.
We continue to bring the newest technologies into this platform. In 2018, we announced the 1200 V IGBT7 in Easy1B/2B for industrial drive applications, and have extended the Easy portfolio by integrating the TRENCHSTOP™ IGBT7 technology into the Easy 3B package. In the future, we also plan to introduce CoolSiC™ technology into all Easy packages.
By implementing these cutting-edge technologies, the Easy platform will offer you the best solution for all possible applications.
