インフィニオン テクノロジーズ (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) は、ディスクリートIGBTの新しい650V TRENCHSTOP™ 5 WR6ファミリーを発表しました。このファミリーは、TO-247-3-HCCパッケージで、20 A、30 A、40 A、50 A、60 A、70 Aの電流定格からなる幅広いポートフォリオを提供します。このデバイスは、インフィニオンの「TRENCHSTOP 5 WR5」や「HighSpeed 3 H3」などの従来品や、他のIGBT品から容易に置き換えることができます。本製品は、住宅用・商業用空調システムや溶接アプリケーションの力率改善（PFC）に最適化されています。

TRENCHSTOP 5 WR6スイッチは、非常に低い導通損失（30 A、1,45 V、25°C時）とスイッチング損失（30 A、1,55 mJ、175°C時）を実現しています。また、1,45Vという非常に低い飽和電圧（VCE(sat)）を持ち、ターゲットアプリケーションに最適化された順方向電圧を持つダイオード内蔵のモノリシックIGBTとなっております。これにより、クラス最高の性能を実現するとともに、低いBOMコストを実現しています。さらに、このデバイスは、TRENCHSTOP 5 WR6シリーズの前身であるTRENCHSTOP 5 WR5シリーズの性能優位性を活用しています。

WR6シリーズの新しいTO-247-3-HCCハウジングは、沿面距離と空間距離を増加させ、絶縁耐圧を向上させています。これにより、AC室外機などでよく発生する汚染や結露に耐性のある、より信頼性の高いシステム設計が可能になります。TRENCHSTOP 5 WR6は、故障率を低減することでTCO（Total Cost of Ownership）を削減するとともに、アプリケーションにおいてより高いスイッチング周波数を実現します。
